Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 29, 2025

1. Overview

ReadyGo is a dismissal dashboard used by schools to streamline student pickup and bus coordination. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data. For questions, please contact us at readygo@jmi.services.

2. Information We Collect

We do not intentionally collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as student names or IDs. We do collect:

  • Google account email addresses of staff who log into the admin or analytics portions of the app.
  • Teacher and Paraprofessional names for display in duty assignments.
  • Bus route statuses, dismissal wave data, and announcements submitted by authorized staff.

Note: While announcements allow for free-text input, users are instructed not to enter any student names, PII, or sensitive content.

3. How Information is Used

We use the collected data to:

  • Power the live dismissal dashboard.
  • Allow school staff to manage and view dismissal-related information.
  • Maintain a simple audit log of who performed key actions (e.g., marking a bus as arrived).

We do not sell, share, or use this information for advertising or profiling.

4. Data Storage

All persistent data is stored securely using Google’s Firebase Cloud Firestore, a real-time, NoSQL cloud database. No data is stored on local devices unless cached temporarily by the browser.

5. Authentication and Access

  • The main dashboard is publicly accessible by default, but can be restricted by a Super Admin.
  • Only pre-approved staff emails can access admin and analytics features, protected via Google Sign-In (Firebase Authentication). Roles include Staff, Admin, and Super Admin, each with different permissions.
  • Login attempts are logged with the associated email address.

6. Analytics and Logging

The ReadyGo application logs dismissal events (e.g., bus arrival times, group release times) to provide analytics for school administrators. This data is stored within your school's secure Firebase project. Separately, Google Firebase and related hosting services may also collect usage data for their own operational purposes, which is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.

7. Children’s Privacy

ReadyGo is not intended for use by children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from children. The dashboard is designed to be used by teachers and school staff for display in classroom or common areas.

8. Data Security

We use secure storage practices provided by Firebase. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of any information stored or transmitted.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain data as long as a school continues to use the platform. You may request deletion of your account or associated data at any time by contacting readygo@jmi.services.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the service after changes indicates your acceptance.
